Figure 1 Clinical and laboratory data of the patients. Hyperpyrexia indicates body temperature ≥ 37.8 °C. Leukocytosis indicates leukocyte count > 9.000 mm3. Defense, Rovsing’s sign, hyperpyrexia and leukocytosis were different in groups with acute and perforated appendicitis; and the differences were statistically significant.
