Besides recurrent Clostridium difficile infec tion, the applications of fecal microbiota transplantation have been extended to noninfectious diseases, including neuropsychiatric diseases, metabolic diseases, digestive diseases, autoimmune diseases, and other diseases such as melanoma, epithelial tumors, graft-versus-host disease, and polycystic ovary syndrome.
