Figure 1 Schematic Illustration of liver after partial hepatectomy. After partial hepatectomy, hepatocytes begin to proliferate and release vascular endothelial growth factor, which promotes the proliferation of bone marrow-derived progenitor cells (BM SPCs) and reconstruction of hepatic sinusoids.
