Figure 6 Mathematical prediction of phospho-extracellular signal-regulated kinase and phospho-protein kinase B levels after erlotinib treatment. Serum-starved BxPC-3 and Capan-1 cells were preincubated with different doses of erlotinib for 4 h and stimulated with 10 ng/mL human epidermal growth factor for the indicated times afterwards. Protein kinase B (AKT) and extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK) phosphorylation were detected by immunoblot analysis. Experimental data (black dots) are expressed as arbitrary units (a.u.) of four independent experiments (mean ± SE). Model predictions are indicated by cross symbols.
