According to the latest Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released by Thomson Reuters on June 13, 2016, the newly-published 2015 impact factor (IF) of WJG is 2.787 (5-year IF: 2.848). This new IF represents a rise by 0.418 compared to the previous year’s value. In addition, the 2015 ranking for WJG is 38th among 78 journals in gastroenterology and hepatology, and we are pleased to announce that this equates to our entering the Q2 quartile. The 2015 eigenfactor score of WJG is 0.058430, ranking 5th, and the number of total cites is 29183, ranking 6th.

 

On June 18, 2015, Thomson Reuters announced the release of the 2014 Journal Citation Reports, which covers 8618 journals. According to the 2014 Journal Citation Reports released by Thomson Reuters (ISI), the 2014 impact factor for WJG is 2.369, ranking 41 among 76 journals in gastroenterology and hepatology.

 

On July 29, 2014, Thomson Reuters announced the release of the 2013 Journal Citation Reports, which covers 11471 journals. The 2013 impact factor for WJG is 2.433 [5-year impact factor: 2.633 (35/74); total cites: 20957 (6/74); current articles: 1205 (1/74); immediacy index: 0.235 (60/74); cited half-life: 5.5 (31/74); eigenfactor score: 0.05116 (6/74); and article influence score: 0.693 (38/74)], ranking 36 among 74 journals in gastroenterology and hepatology, quartile in category Q2.

 

On June 19, 2013, Thomson Reuters announced the release of the 2012 Journal Citation Reports, which covers 10000 journals in 83 countries receive their Journal Impact Factor. The impact factor for WJG in gastroenterology and hepatology, 2012 impact factor: 2.547 (34/74); 5-Year impact factor: 2.594 (33/74); total cites: 19145 (6/74); current articles: 944 (1/74); and eigenfactor score: 0.06035 (6/74).
