In 2016, the World Journal of Cardiology (WJC) has published the 10th issue which containing 8 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Physical activity in primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease: Overview updated”, a Minireviews by Alberto J Alves, PhD, et al from the Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health and Human Development, CIDESD, University Institute of Maia, Portugal; and (2) “Randomized controlled trial of remote ischemic preconditioning and atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery”, an Original Article by Amir S Lotfi, MD, et al from the Department of Cardiology, Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine,, etc. We invite you to peruse all 8 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in cardiology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
