Abstract
BACKGROUND Given their responsibility for the well-being of individuals, nurses with advanced mental health literacy, along with strong holistic nursing competencies and professional self-efficacy, are better equipped to assess both the mental and physical health of their patients, leading to the provision of holistic nursing care. AIM To investigate the relationship between nurses' mental health literacy levels and their holistic nursing competencies, as well as their nursing professional self-efficacy. METHODS This study is cross-sectional, correlational research. The study sample consisted of a total of 261 volunteer nurses working in a training and research hospital and a state hospital between March 11, 2024 and April 8, 2024. Data were collected face to face with the "Descriptive Data Form", "Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS)", "Holistic Nursing Competence Scale (HNCS)", and the "Nursing Profession Self-Efficacy Scale (NPSES)". RESULTS The mean scale scores for the nurses were as follows: MHLS: 95.88 ± 11.67; HNCS: 179.46 ± 33.82; NPSES: 64.79 ± 11.24. A low-level positive correlation was found between the total scores of the MHLS, HNCS, and NPSES, and a moderate-level positive correlation was observed between the total scores of the HNCS and NPSES. These correlations were statistically significant (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION It is recommended that initiatives be undertaken to enhance the mental health literacy and holistic nursing competencies of nurses and that similar studies be conducted with nurses in different institutions and with a larger number of nurses.

Abstract
PURPOSE To examine the relationship of mental health literacy with beliefs toward mental illness and attitudes toward seeking psychological help in Turkish society. METHOD This study was a descriptive cross-sectional and correlational study comprising 400 participants (mean age = 28.65 years, SD = 9.83 years). Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHL), Beliefs Toward Mental Illness Scale (BMI), and Attitudes Toward Seeking Psychological Help Scale (ASPH-S). RESULTS A statistically significant negative weak correlation was observed between MHL and BMI total scores (r = -0.170; p < 0.001). A statistically significant negative weak correlation was also observed between BMI and ASPH-S total scores (r = -0.186; p < 0.001). Mental health literacy accounted for 5.4% of the variability in BMI scores (F = 11.486; p < 0.001). CONCLUSION Mental health literacy positively affects beliefs toward mental illness. Intervention programs should include knowledge about mental disorders and stigma, which will help promote positive beliefs toward mental illness. Abstract
AIM The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of education provided to nursing students on MHL levels. METHODS The study had a randomized pre-test post-test parallel control group design. Fifty-six (n = 56) first-year nursing students. In this study, CONSORT flow diagram was applied. The data collection forms consist of a personal information form and Mental Health Literacy Scale. In the statistical analysis Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Mann-Whitney U test were used. RESULTS Creative drama education was found to be significantly more effective than classroom education in increasing scores on the mental health literacy scale, including sub-dimensions for awareness of mental disorders, ability to access information, and stigma in nursing students (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Classroom education and creative drama are effective in changing mental health literacy scales. It is recommended to spread the use of creative drama, which is one of the artistic and interactive educational techniques in nursing education.

Abstract
BACKGROUND There is little evidence on the association between patterns of unhealthy lifestyle and mental health among young adults. METHOD This study included a total of 28,978 young adults aged 18 to 44 years old in Guangdong province in south China, which was conducted from September to December in 2022. We used latent class analysis to classify the patterns of unhealthy lifestyle among young adults and used multiple logistic regression to explore their associations with depressive and anxiety symptoms. RESULT The weighted prevalence of depressive and anxiety symptoms were 28.0 % and 19.5 %, respectively. The cumulative effect of unhealthy lifestyles on depressive and anxiety symptoms was significant. Five patterns of unhealthy lifestyle were classified. Compared to the relatively healthy lifestyle class, the class with more unhealthy lifestyles (OR = 6.54, 95 % CI: 5.70-7.51) and insufficient sleep (OR = 6.16, 95 % CI: 4.92-7.70) had higher risk for depressive and anxiety symptoms. Meaningfully, having adequate mental health literacy could reduce the risk of depressive and anxiety symptoms from unhealthy lifestyle by half. LIMITATIONS The cross-section design study limited causal inferences, and the self-report information may lead to recall bias. CONCLUSIONS Unhealthy lifestyles have a negative impact on depressive and anxiety symptoms through independent, cumulative and combined effects, and they could be interrelated. Unhealthy lifestyle patterns differed in younger population by socio-demographic characteristics and mental health literacy. Health-care professionals and policymakers may provide programs to intervene multiple unhealthy lifestyles and improve mental health literacy by integrating healthy lifestyle education to promote youngers' mental health.
