The percentage of positive apoptotic epithelium entericum was estimated after two hundred cells were counted in five differ-ent fields randomly chosen from preparation (n = 5). We did all analysis with SPSS. All data were presented as mean ± SD. We used one-way analysis of variance and the t test where appropriate. Significance was defined as P < 0.05.
