Figure 1 Liver histology of a patient obtained in 1983 (58 year old, needle biopsy) and 2000 (surgical resection of hepatocellular carcinoma).
Slides stained with hematoxylin-eosin are shown on the left and those stained with silver are on the right. Marked reduction of fibrosis with improvement of inflammation is observed (This patient was patient 1 in our previous report[4]).
