Figure 1 A: Cell cycle distribution of BEL7402 treated with UDCA (0. 8 mmol/L) for 48 h. The cell cycle distribution changed, the proportion of G0-G1 phase increased significantly (P < 0.05) and the proportion of S phase and G2-M phase decreased significantly (P < 0.05); B: Cell cycle distribution of L-02 cells treated with UDCA (0.8 mmol/L) for 48 h. The cell cycle distribution of L-02 cells does not change.

Figure 2 Induction of internucleosomal DNA fragmentation by UDCA. Cells were incubated without or with various concentrations of UDCA (0.4 mmol/L, 0.8 mmol/L, 1.0 mmol/L) for 48 h. DNA was extracted and analyzed by 1.5% agarose gel electrophoresis in the presence of ethidium bromide staining.
