In 2016, the World Journal of Cardiology (WJC) has published the 9th issue which containing 6 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Novel concepts in radiation-induced cardiovascular disease”, a Review by Neal L Weintraub, MD, et al from the Department of Medicine, Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, United States; and (2) “Depression risk in patients with coronary heart disease in Germany”, an Original Article by Karel Kostev, DMSc, PhD, Professor, et al from the Department of Epidemiology, IMS Health, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, etc. We invite you to peruse all 6 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in cardiology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
