A: Blended dual-energy contrast-enhanced coronal image showed circumferential homogenously enhancing mural thickening involving the wall of the appendix (arrow), which was dilated and fluid-filled, suggestive of acute appendicitis; B: There was also the presence of an oval-shaped hyperdensity (arrow) within its lumen on virtual non-contrast image, suggestive of an appendicolith; C: The iodine overlay map showed high iodine uptake in its wall (arrow), representing the hyperemia associated with active inflammation.
