Normally distributed data are presented as mean ± SD and analyzed using one-way analysis of variance; non-normally distributed data are presented as the median (minimum-maximum) and analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Comparisons between the control group and treatment groups were performed using post-hoc least significant difference for normally distributed data and pairwise Bonferroni testing for non-normally distributed data. 5-MTP: 5-Methoxytryptophan; DCM: Diabetic cardiomyopathy; LVEDD: Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter; LVESD: Left ventricular end-systolic diameter.
