Figure 6 The equilibrium between the oxidized (TS2) and reduced [T(SH)2] forms of trypanothione. The reduction process takes place with catalysis of trypanothione reductase and the oxidation process occurs spontaneoulsy by oxidative action of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
