A: 18F-fibroblast activation protein inhibitor-04 positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) images show one extremely strong uptake lesion (maximum standardized uptake value = 19.88) at the lesser curvature (solid line arrow), which were suspected of gastric cancer; B: 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT images show mild tracer uptake (maximum standardized uptake value = 5.50) at the lesser curvature lesion (dotted line arrow). 18F-fibroblast activation protein inhibitor-04 PET/CT offered superior imaging contrast to 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT, as evidenced by a significantly higher tumor-to-background ratio (19.88 vs 3.07) and better-defined tumor margins; C: The pathological findings derived from surgical resection are indicative of mucinous adenocarcinoma.
