This table compares the times to first flatus and first defecation of patients in the two groups by independent samples t-test. The results showed that the times to first flatus and first defecation of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group (P < 0.05), indicating that the PIPOST model-based early enteral nutrition promotes the recovery of gastrointestinal function.
