A detailed view in B confirms marked inflammation with numerous lymphocytes and neutrophilic granulocytes infiltrating the bile duct mucosa. Cytological analysis of the same patient was in the upper figures (original magnification C, D), demonstrating regular epithelial cells and few leukocytes.
