There is a prominent left hepatic nodule, which demonstrates minimally increased intrinsic T1 signal on the in-phase images (arrowhead, A) and low signal intensity on the opposed-phase (B) and pre-contrast images (C), indicating the presence of fat. The lesion demonstrates heterogeneous mildly increased arterial enhancement (arrowhead, D) in keeping with a fat-containing HCC. HCC: Hepatocellular carcinoma; GRE: Gradient recalled echo.
