The χ² test was used to compare the categorical variable (liver stiffness measurement stages) across nutritional risk groups; the Wilcoxon rank-sum test was used to compare continuous variables (aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index, gamma-glutamyl transferase to platelet ratio index, fibrosis-4 index, aspartate aminotransferase to alanine aminotransferase ratio) between the two groups.
