Cut-off: The portal vein diameter threshold provides the best balance between sensitivity and specificity. Sensitivity: The ability to correctly identify patients with high-grade varices. Specificity: The ability to correctly exclude patients without high-grade varices. AUC: Area under the curve; PPV: Positive predictive value; NPV: Negative predictive value; PVD: Portal vein diameter.
