We can obtain the point received for the value of each variable by drawing a line up to the point axis, and the sum of these points corresponds to the total point axis. The total points determine the likelihood for each individual of 1-year, 2-year and 3-year survival by drawing a line downward to the survival axes. Treatment (1: Anticoagulation, 2: Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts). A higher total point score corresponds to a lower probability of survival. AST: Aspartate aminotransferase; TB: Total bilirubin.
