Figure 1 Mechanism of action of immune cells under investigation for recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma. Early-relapse hepatocellular carcinoma displays decreased regulatory T cells, and higher dendritic cells and CD8+T cells. FoxP3(+) regulatory T cells encourage a gradual decline in CD4+ cytotoxic T cells, which contributes to poorer survival and high recurrence rates.
