In A-D the asterisks indicate newly formed bone and the arrows indicate empty osteocyte lacunae in allogeneic fragments. Furthermore, in A and B the arrowheads point to osteoblasts with underlying osteoid, while in C and D the arrowheads indicate adipocytes.
