Statistical analysis was performed using unpaired two-tailed Student’s t-test: aP < 0.05 vs wild type_IgG, bP < 0.05 vs transgenic _IgG. Five-week-old male wild type and transgenic mice were fed a high-fat diet for 12 weeks, during which they were injected with either a fibroblast growth factor 21-neutralizing antibody or its isotype control every 3 days.
