Esmolol, as a selective β1-adrenoceptor antagonist, alleviates intestinal injury in rats with sepsis by augmenting autophagy, downregulating interleukin (IL-1), IL-17, TNF-α, and IL-6, and upregulating IL-10 through the AMPK/mTOR/ULK1 pathway. IL: Interleukin; LPS: Lipopolysaccharide.
