Cardiovascular disease progression is the pre-specified composite endpoint defined as the first occurrence of: New coronary revascularization (percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass graft), hospitalization for unstable angina, or documented worsening of Canadian Cardiovascular Society angina class during follow-up. Only incident events occurring after study enrollment are included. A P value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
