Clinical efficacy was defined according to each study (i.e., resolution of obstructive symptoms after dilation with the avoidance of surgery or additional intervention). Technical success was defined by successful passage of the endoscope or colonoscope immediately after dilation. Clinical efficacy was defined as the resolution of obstructive symptoms after dilation with the avoidance of surgery.
