Figure 1 Plasma acyl-ghrelin (A) and desacyl-ghrelin (B) levels according to Helicobacter pylori status in hemodialysis patients (n = 108) and non-hemodialysis patients with non-Helicobacter pylori infection (n = 13). Acyl-ghrelin and desacyl-ghrelin levels in the non-infection group were significantly higher than those in the present and past infection groups in hemodyalysis patients. Both levels in the non-infection group of hemodialysis patients were significantly higher than those in the non-hemodialysis control group.
