Figure 1 Macrophage regulation of graft-vs-host disease. Macrophages can polarize to M1 macrophages and M2 macrophages and regulate both acute and chronic graft-vs-host disease through migration, cytokine secretion, interaction with T cells in acute graft-vs-host disease, and interaction with T cells, B cells, and fibroblasts in chronic graft-vs-host disease.
