Figure 2 Gross cut-surface appearance of the explanted native liver, showing heterogeneous brown discoloration of the hepatic parenchyma. Histopathological examination of the explant subsequently demonstrated massive hepatic necrosis, marked intraductal cholestasis, and regenerative changes, without fibrosis or steatosis.
