Cox proportional hazards model was used to evaluate independent risk factors for a composite outcome comprising acute rejection, graft loss, or patient mortality in a cohort of 260 kidney transplant recipients. Six clinically relevant variables were selected a priori: HLA mismatches (≥ 7), donor-specific antibody presence, estimated glomerular filtration rate at 4 months (glomerular filtration rate < 60), ATG dose, sensitizing events, and recipient gender.
