Figure 1 Spearman correlation analysis between depression screening scales and International Classification of Diseases, 10^th Revision diagnosis. Both 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale and Patient Health Questionnaire-9 showed strong positive correlations with gold standard diagnosis (rs = 0.762 and 0.718, both P < 0.001). HAMD-17: 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale; ICD-10: International Classification of Diseases, 10^th Revision; PHQ-9: Patient Health Questionnaire-9.
