Patients unable to discontinue medications were defined as those who failed to stop taking diuretics or calcium channel blockers within 4 weeks before surgery (n = 12, accounting for 11.8%), among whom 8 cases were diuretic-dependent and 4 cases were calcium channel blocker-dependent. Baseline characteristics of the two groups showed no significant differences by independent samples t-test or χ² test (all P > 0.05), indicating comparability.
