Stefano Palmucci was born in Catania, Italy, in 1976. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Catania (Italy) in 2001; in May 2002, he received board certification from the University of Catania. He was trained as a radiologist at the Catholic University of Sacrum Heart of Rome (Italy), qualifying in 2005. Since 2006 he has been working as radiologist at the Radiology I Unit of University Hospital “Policlinico-Vittorio Emanuele” in Catania. In November 2016, he started to work as Researcher in the Department of Medical Surgical Sciences and Advanced Technologies (University of Catania). In March 2012, during the European Congress in Vienna, he obtained the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) from the European Society of Radiology (ESR). He reported the national qualification of Associate Professor in 2017. In 2020, he started to work as Associate Professor of Radiology in the Department of Medical Surgical Sciences and Advanced Technologies (University of Catania). In recent years, he has become very interested in the field of chest radiology, abdominal radiology and functional imaging; he published 103 articles in journals indexed by Scopus e/o PubMed.
