After being awarded a PhD at Loughborough University in 2000, Sijung was invited to join Kalibrant Ltd as a Senior Scientist and Project Leader for R&D in vitro diagnostics. Sijung joined the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University as a research fellow in 2002 for Health Technology Exploitation. Since 2006, Sijung has been Senior Research Fellow and Leader of the Photonics Engineering & Health Technology Research Group, and ”CREATED TWO NEW FIELDS OF ENGINEERING RESEARCH: (1) Opto-physiological Modeling and Monitoring; and (2) Multiplexed Point-of-care testing instrumentation.
