Dr. Valeria Romeo is an expert in the field of Radiology and a Researcher at the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences of the University of Naples “Federico II”, in Naples, Italy. She performs her clinical activity in the field of Breast and Body Imaging. Her main research activities are focused on the application of artificial intelligence techniques to ultrasound, CT and MRI images, specifically in the field of oncologic imaging (e.g. prediction of biological tumor features in head and neck, breast, prostate cancer and differential diagnosis of adrenal lesions) and for the prediction of placenta accreta spectrum in patients with placenta previa. She is also involved in clinical trials for assessment of the response to treatment in oncologic patients and conducts research projects on the use of simultaneous PET/MRI in breast cancer patients.
