Dr. Hany Khalil is a Professor of Molecular Biology at Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Institute, University of Sadat City, Egypt. He did hold the doctorate of molecular biology at Humboldt University in cooperation with Max-Planck Institute for Infection Biology, Berlin Germany in 2011. He is interested to study infection biology, cellular immune response, RNA interference and epigenetic modification in medical disorders and genetic diseases. He published several papers in Nature, PlosOne, Autophagy, Immunological Reviews, Epigenetics, Immunological Investigations, Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, Frontiers in Oncology, and Frontiers in Cellular and Developmental Biology in cooperation with Wexner Medical Center, Ohio State University, USA and Max-Planck Institute for Infection Biology, Germany. He has two patents in which he provides a novel therapeutical strategy against influenza A virus infections one of them has collaborated with the Max-Plank Institute for Infection Biology. He has been awarded from Max-Planck Institute as an inventor in 2011 and he has been honored with the first Egyptian State Encouragement Award in Biological Science in 2013 and also he has been honored by Misr El-Kheir 2013 for the best publication in life science. Currently, he is the Principle Investigator in different Projects provided by Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF).
