Dr Georgios D. Lianos is a Specialist in General Surgery, with special interest in Minimally Invasive Surgical Oncology. He has completed his PhD on surgical oncology (Upper GI) at the Ioannina University School of Medicine in Greece (vote: excellent) and his MSc on HPB Surgery at the University of Thrace, Democritus. Dr Lianos has also completed with great success his clinical Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery with special interest in minimally invasive surgical oncology at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Research Center, University of Insubria, Varese, Italy under the supervision of Prof. Luigi Boni and Prof. Gianlorenzo Dionigi. Dr Lianos worked also as a Researcher at the Centre of Biosystems and Genomic Network Medicine, (GNM) University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece under the supervision of Prof. Dimitrios H. Roukos. Dr Lianos has recently focused his research interests on modern surgical oncology, personalized cancer medicine and minimally invasive surgery. Dr Lianos, is author of many scientific international papers [original research articles, review articles (narrative & systematic), editorials, perspectives] and he acts as a reviewer and invited author of many valuable high-indexed medical journals. Dr Lianos also participated with many presentations to National and International Meetings.
