Matteo Donadon, MD, PhD, is a General Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Humanitas University, Humanitas Clinical and Research Center in Milan, Italy. He received his medical degree at the University of Milan and completed the residency in general surgery at the same University. He earned his PhD in Hepatobiliary Oncology at the University of Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy. He previously worked as a research fellow at the Department of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. His clinical activity is dedicated to the liver and biliary surgery. He works as senior surgeon performing major hepatobiliary procedures. Dr. Donadon’s research interests comprise any aspect of liver and biliary surgery, including translational research. His work has been awarded by competitive research grants. He is author/coauthor of more than 130 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, copious of abstracts and presentations at national and international meetings. Currently, Dr. Donadon is responsible for teaching to students, residents and fellows.
