Associate Professor Jie-Xin Zhang conducted a study on an animal model of oxidative stress in the heart caused by chronic intermittent hypoxia in 2007 when she was an undergraduate. From 2008 to 2013, when she was in Nanjing Medical University for Ph.D., she studied the pathogenesis of breast cancer and pancreatic cancer, and found the interacting membrane proteins between tumor suppress molecules and cancer cells in the microenvironment. At the same time, she also participated in the study of the molecular mechanism of endoplasmic reticulum stress induced apoptosis of islet cells. In the past six years, Associate Professor Zhang is working in The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. She has been devoting in the areas of breast tumor immunity as well as virus immunity and published a series of original articles.
