Doctorate degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India in 1996. Presently working as Professor & Officer-in-charge, Department of Ocular Biochemistry, Dr. R.P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. She has made significant contributions in oncology. She has been involved in many national and international research projects. Her areas of scientific interest include ocular tumors, glaucoma, angiogenesis associated retinal diseases, and stem cell research: basic and translational. Her work has been published in the peer-reviewed national and international journals. She has presented her work at several national and international conferences and authored chapters in books. She has been recognized with many national and international awards including Indo-German Award sponsored by UICC and co-sponsored by WHO and DOSAK for the research work.
