Professor Shao-Ping Yu is a chief physician, he is the Director of Department of Gastroenterology and hepatology, Dongguan Kanghua Hospital, Dongguan, China. He practiced in major of gastroenterology over 25 years. He is an expert in diagnosis and treatment of early stage of colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer and a skilled endoscopy manipulator whom focus on research of relieving patients' pain during un-sedative endoscopy examination. He had been sent to Japan and Germany for further education in research of gastroenterology and endoscopy in 2000 and 2011. He has published papers in Endoscopy, World Journal of Gastroenterology, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, World Journal of Clinical Cases. He is a peer-reviewer of World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG), World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (WJGE), World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery (WJGS).  He is an editorial board member of World Journal of Clinical Cases.He modified the Lamaze method of childbirth，and applied to colonoscopy, and named it Lamaze colonoscopy. Renewed the screening of first-degree relatives of colorectal cancer, make it better understanding as ‘Cruciform screening’.
