Dr. Keita Kai is a pathologist and his specialty is a diagnostic pathology and cytopathology. Dr. Kai graduated Saga Medical College in 2000. He had initially trained as a digestive surgeon and converted to the pathologist. He obtained his PhD degree in Saga University Graduate School of Medical Science in 2009. His research interest is the surgical pathology of the digestive system, especially liver cancer, biliary cancer (including gallbladder), pancreas cancer, and carcinomas of the gastrointestinal tract. He is also interested in case reports and translational medicine. Dr. Kai is a Board-Certified Pathologist of the Japanese society of pathology, Board-Certified Cytologist of the Japanese society of clinical cytology, Board-Certified Surgeon of the Japanese society of surgery and Board-Certified Gastroenterologist of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology.
