I initially started my career as a qualified professional anaesthesiologist where I demonstrated my skills and expertise in the perioperative care of patients. In 2012. I was made In-Charge of the Main Operation, where I strengthened my administrative skills in planning & optimum utilization of the operation theaters based on the hospital and patient needs, and resources available. During this stint upto FY 2017, I got intrinsically involved in various hospital improvement initiatives and gained overall insight into the hospital’s functioning. In an effort to bridge a gap, I was also transiently responsible for the hospital procurement & supply chain management. We were successful in tackling various supply chain issues through a TQM approach and suggest the current VMI model to address the hospital’s need. In 2017, I was hand-picked to operationalize TMH PRIME: a unique facility created for the extended use of TMH facilities and TMH Clinics during the evening hours for paid consultations, diagnostics and surgeries. The revenue sharing mechanism with the clinicians led to a win-win situation for additional earnings for the clinicians & revenue generation out of enhanced “sweating the assets” for the hospital. Currently, I have been assisting the senior leadership team towards effective management & delivery of healthcare services. With my knowledge of various functions and analytical skills, I have been able to help the leadership to strategically plan key hospitals operations & capitalize on emerging opportunities and growth. We have been able to achieve revenue and cost optimization and provide sustainable viability to the hospital’s performance. Working with intentional consultants like Bain & Company and BCG, we have been able to deliver value to both our internal and external stakeholders. With several International PubMed indexed publications, I am on the editorial board of World Journal of Clinical Cases.
