At present, Gokben Ozbey is a professor at the Vocational College of Health Services, Errazefirat University, Türkiye. In 1995, she obtained a bachelor's and master's degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Fiat. In 2003, she completed her doctoral degree in the Department of Microbiology at the same university's School of Veterinary Medicine. Gokben Ozbey has held numerous administrative and academic positions at Firat University, including as a vocational school coordinator for the Farabi project, international ERASMUS, and MEVLANA projects. Currently appointed as the head of the medical services and technology department, as well as the technical project of the medical laboratory. Since Gokben Ozbey's doctoral thesis project, we have focused on a wide range of veterinary and human bacterial pathogens, such as Salmonella, Listeria, Pasteurella, Bacillus avium, Campylobacter, Helicobacter pylori (children and adults), and infectious bursal disease virus. We use routine and molecular microbiology techniques to isolate, detect, and genotype bacteria in animals, humans, and food.
