Graduated from Peking University Medical Department in 1990. Obtain Doctorial degree in 1996, visited the USRDS data coordinating center in 2005, and got the title of professor and doctorial supervisor in 2007. Focused on clinical work, research interest including chronic kidney disease and blood purification. Hosted 8 clinical research projects from Beijing Science and Technology, Beijing Health Commission and National Health Commission. Currenting hosting 3 basic research project from Beijing Natural Science, Beijing Science and Technology, and National Natural Science. Previous national leader of the international study - ACTIVE-D study. Currently national leader of 2 international multicenter studies: the DOPPS study and the RESOLVE study. 49 SCI publication in international journals and 78 publication in Chinese journals since 2005. Developed and validated eGFR equation for Chinese CKD and healthy subjects, provided rationales for the importance of the characteristics of included subjects, which will influence the performance of the outputted eGFR equation. The performance of eGFR equation was and is equivalent with the newly published CKD-EPI equation. Proposed a new method to evaluated dry weight for patients on MHD, compared for the first time the mortality between the US and Beijing patients on MHD, and tried to explain the underlining mechanisms.
