An Egyptian professor of pediatrics in Cairo University, Mona El- Raziky graduated in 1992 from Cairo University medical school, got the Master and Doctorate degrees in pediatrics in 1997 and 2000. She works in the hepatology unit of Cairo university pediatric hospital, the largest tertiary pediatric hospital in Egypt, for 15 years now. She is also a senior consultant for the liver transplantation unit of the same University since 2008. She is teaching for under and post graduate students. An author of numerous publications in specialized peer reviewed journals as well as reviewer in many journals and a member of some of their editorial board as well. She is a supervisor of more than 25 MSc and MD theses. She is a reviewer for the board of assessment and certification of Egyptian universities’ staff members. In a deep and extensive studying of the magnitude and management of the problem of HCV in Egyptian children, she is the principal and co investigator in many projects funded by national and international health institutes. Her main domain of interest is the viral, immune and metabolic liver disease in children making it part of her major daily concerns.
