I started my journey in medicine with special interest in the field of psychiatry and I ended up doing a residency in this specialty. After I immigrated to United States and under the supervision of my mentor, I grew a new and very strong interest in the field of organ transplant and specifically "Liver Transplant". I was motivated enough to go through a second residency and two fellowships to be fully qualified as a transplant hepetologist. My dream has always been to turn the liver transplant into a happier chain of events for both the donor as well as the recipient. What better can serve this purpose than becoming the director of living donor program when a happy ending is guaranteed "of course after vigorous work up". Research plays a major role in this filed and can increase the quality of our care. Hence, I also got involved in the world of research.
