Dr. Saeed Ahmed, an Addiction Psychiatrist with triple board-certification, presently holds the position of Medical Director for Addiction Services, Dual Diagnosis Unit, and Opioid Treatment Program at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. Additionally, he serves as the Site Director ( Mount Sinai Campus) for the UConn Psychiatry Residency Program. In his pursuit of advancing treatment methodologies, Dr. Ahmed's research is centered around the micro-induction of Buprenorphine/Naloxone, exploration of off-label medications, understanding Kratom addiction, the potential therapeutic impact of psychedelics, and enhancing accessibility to treatment for substance use disorders. His work has been published in several research papers and he also contributes his expertise as a member of the editorial board of various scientific journals.
