Haewon Byeon received the DrSc degree in Biomedical Science from Ajou University School of Medicine. Haewon Byeon currently works at the Department of Speech Language Pathology, School of Public Health, Honam University. Byeon does research in aging and communicative disorders such as dementia, dysphagia, cognitive frailty, presbyphonia, and presbycusis. He is currently working on a 3 project (PI) from the Ministry of Education, the Korea Research Foundation, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Byeon is currently a co-researcher (PI: Yunhwan Lee) on the Korean Frailty and Aging Cohort Study. Byeon has published more than 140 scientific articles and 5 books.
